Job Description

As an Intellectual Property Attorney, you will be responsible for protecting and managing intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.


Purpose

To provide legal counsel on intellectual property matters, manage IP portfolios, and enforce IP rights.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in obtaining patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
  • Conduct IP due diligence for business transactions.
  • Enforce IP rights through litigation when necessary.
  • Draft and negotiate IP-related agreements.
  • Provide legal advice on IP strategy and protection.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree with a focus on intellectual property law.
  • Admission to the state bar.
  • Strong knowledge of intellectual property law.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in intellectual property law.
  • Experience in patent and trademark prosecution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in intellectual property law.
  • Membership in IP law associations.

Working Conditions

  • Office-based with occasional travel.
